Hallo, I’m Gesa.
I’m the founder of German4FUN, a native German speaker from Germany, and a teacher who believes that learning German should feel structured, encouraging, and doable.
I began tutoring when I was 16 and have been teaching in different formats ever since. Today, I teach adults, kids, and teens online, and I also teach in-person adult group classes in Pensacola.
My goal is simple: students should understand what they are learning, feel comfortable practicing, and make steady progress without feeling rushed or embarrassed.

My Teaching Background
From 2019 to 2022, I taught in public elementary schools in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany. As a Quereinsteiger, I worked as a substitute teacher and later became class teacher of a first and then second grade after demonstrating consistent classroom leadership and instructional quality.
I have also taught within the professional framework of Berlitz, following established instructional standards and materials.
This background shapes how I teach today: organized lessons, clear explanations, practical speaking, and a calm learning atmosphere where students are allowed to ask questions and make mistakes.
My Teaching Approach
Lessons follow the CEFR framework (A1–B2) , so students build German step by step with clear progression.
I do not believe in random lesson topics. Every student follows a clear learning path, adapted to their age, level, goals, and learning pace.

Why I Love Teaching German
One of my favorite moments as a teacher is when students suddenly realize: “Wait… I actually understood that.”
I enjoy helping adults feel more confident speaking German for travel, family, relocation, or personal goals, and I love seeing kids become excited about learning and using the language naturally.
German can feel intimidating at first, so I try to create lessons that feel supportive, structured, and encouraging from the beginning.

Locally, I teach adult group classes in Pensacola at Ever’man’s Educational Center on W Garden Street.
Online, I teach students across the United States and internationally. Adults and older teens meet via Google Meet. Kids and younger teens usually learn through an interactive Koala Go classroom.
