Hallo! I’m Gesa, founder of German4FUN. I began tutoring when I was 16 and have been teaching in different formats ever since.

From 2019 to 2022, I taught in public elementary schools in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany. As a Quereinsteiger, I worked as a substitute teacher and later became class teacher of a first and then second grade after demonstrating consistent classroom leadership and instructional quality.

Today, I work as a German teacher in Pensacola, while also teaching structured online lessons nationwide. My students include local families in Northwest Florida as well as kid, teen, and adult learners across the United States.

I have also taught within the professional framework of Berlitz, following established instructional standards and materials.

My approach is structured yet encouraging. I take progress seriously, but I also make sure students feel safe speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes. I enjoy teaching kids, teens, and adults equally.

My Teaching Approach

Lessons follow the CEFR framework (A1–B2) , ensuring clear progression and measurable milestones.

Every student follows a clear progression path, not random lesson topics.

German Teacher in Pensacola — Teaching Nationwide

I teach locally in Pensacola, Milton, and the surrounding Gulf Coast area. In-person lessons are group classes held at the Ever’man’s Educational Center (W Garden Street).

At the same time, online students join from across the United States and internationally, following the same structured curriculum and supportive learning environment.
