Before You Join Beginner 4

Beginner 4 is intended for students who completed Beginner 3 with German4FUN or already have similar German knowledge. You should be able to do most of the following:

✔ Know and spot the difference between Nominativ, Akkusativ, and Dativ
✔ Speak in the Perfekt tense using the correct form of haben or sein.
Examples: Ich habe gegessen. · Du bist gegangen.
✔ Understand the difference between location and direction with two-way prepositions.
Examples: Das Buch liegt auf dem Tisch. · Ich lege das Buch auf den Tisch.
✔ Give advice and instructions in formal and informal ways.
Examples: Haben Sie Geduld! · Iss gesund!

By the End of Beginner 4…

Beginner 4 completes the A1 level with chapters 13–16. You’ll strengthen your grammar, expand your vocabulary, and practice using German in more practical situations.

Talk about celebrations, dates, invitations, and events
Describe weather, clothing, colors, and everyday impressions
Navigate city situations, directions, transportation, and tickets
Use travel language for hotels, vacation planning, and polite requests
Use Dativ, Akkusativ, Perfekt, and imperative more confidently
Finish A1 with clearer sentence structure and stronger comprehension
