Beginner II Entry Requirement (Chapters 1–4)
Beginner II starts at a faster pace. To join this course, you should be comfortable with the grammar and content from chapters 1–4 of our textbook.
That means you can already do things like:
- Introduce yourself, greet people, and ask simple questions (W-questions)
- Use present tense regular verbs (singular + plural) and basic sentence structure
- Use sein, haben, möchten, and mögen in simple conversations
- Use articles in nominative and accusative (der/ein/kein …)
- Talk about personal information (name, address, job) and handle simple everyday dialogues (for example shopping)
Not sure if Beginner II is the right fit? No problem. After you sign up, I can send a short assessment based on chapters 1–4 so we can confirm the best level for you.
What We Will Cover in Beginner II (Chapters 5–8)
In Beginner II, we will work through chapters 5–8. You will expand your speaking skills and begin using German more naturally in real-life situations.
- Chapter 5: talking about free time, schedules, and making plans
- Chapter 6: family, friends, and describing people
- Chapter 7: food, cafés, ordering, and everyday routines
- Chapter 8: appointments, time, and planning your week
You will also strengthen core A1 grammar as it appears in real conversations, with speaking practice every session.
Your A1 Path: Beginner I–IV
German4FUN’s A1 level is designed as a clear 4-part path:
- Beginner I (8 weeks) – Chapters 1–4
- Beginner II (8 weeks) – Chapters 5–8
- Beginner III (8 weeks) – Chapters 9-12
