A fun, beginner-friendly introduction to German for kids. Short, interactive, and designed to help children feel comfortable trying a new language.
Taught by Gesa, a native German speaker and former elementary school teacher in Germany.
If you missed it or want to continue, the next step is our 8-week beginner course for kids.
Small group, clear guidance, and a relaxed learning environment.
What This Trial Lesson Was
This 30-minute trial lesson was a structured, beginner-friendly way for kids to experience German for the first time. No prior German knowledge was needed.
Kids did not need to perform or speak perfectly. Shy children were absolutely welcome, and no child was ever forced to speak before they felt ready.
Trying a new language can be a big step. The lesson was designed to help kids build confidence, curiosity, and a sense of accomplishment in a supportive setting.
This was a real, in-person class taught by me. It was not a demo or marketing event.
- Ideal for kids ages 8–11
- Beginner-friendly and supportive
- Interactive, play-based learning
- Small group for focused attention
What Kids Did
Children learned a few basic German words and phrases through guided activities and simple games. The focus was on participation and confidence, not memorization.
- Heard and said their first German words
- Participated in short group activities
- Practiced simple phrases with guidance
For Parents
Parents were welcome to observe from the background.
Groups are kept small so every child is seen and supported.
If your child enjoyed the trial format, the 8-week course continues with the same supportive approach and builds step-by-step from the basics.
The full course is held in the Pensacola area and is open to local families.

About Your Instructor
My name is Gesa. I’m a native German speaker with more than 25 years of teaching and youth development experience. Before moving to the United States, I worked as an elementary school teacher in Germany and taught children and teens in structured learning environments.
My goal is to create a learning space where kids feel comfortable, encouraged, and confident trying something new.
Next Step
If your child would like to continue, the best next step is our 8-week German course for kids (Beginner 1). It builds on the same friendly approach and adds steady structure each week.
